The second instalment to the debut LP by ‘SUN A’ tentatively called ‘Mirrors’. SUN A takes an agressive look inside, referencing ol’school skating legends and delusions of grandeur. When asked what was the concept behind the song, he replied “In like a lion, out like a lamb. Repeat.”

A little back story, when I first started rapping in 2002 (yep 10 years ago) I liked to call myself Filthy Rich. A good handle, which in a particular rap group aka BROKE, I still use because it fits the money theme. From Filthy Rich I started calling myself HIDDEN which I was true to the name and was basically hidden, minus a few friends and people in the rap game (homies) that I kept in contact with. HIDDEN was always meant to be my solo name, under the name HIDDEN I’ve probably released 34 songs online for free, but never compiled them into a final album. From HIDDEN I went on to make a 6 song E_P under the handle ‘_MASK’ with an amazing musical programmer names ‘PIABLO’. This is available for FREE on this site, or streamed on myspace in the above link for HIDDEN.

Now in 2012 the first song I have publicly released (aka sending a post on twitter, facebook and instagram-big dreams) in a year was sarcastically called ‘THE COMEBACK SEASON’. What makes that funny is that it’s only a comeback for me, only a few knew I was ever here.

I feel 2012 will be the comeback.

Second in the series of ‘Love’.

This is the first personal illustration that I have spent numerous hours on since we’ve had a little one. The drawing has been on and off for about 2-3 months. Feels good to gradually get back into the swing of things.

I actually considered doing limited signed and numbered prints (x25)… still on the fence. I guess it depends on you. You want it, let me know… if not I didn’t know you considered it. :-) No harm, no foul.

The sculpture is made of ‘Sculpey‘, a product that is basically like Femo or Plasterscene that you can bake and paint. It was fairly easy to work with but you really have to spend a lot of time smoothing out the bumps and fingerprints. It probably didn’t help that I used my fingers and paint brushes as my modelling tools.

After i finished modelling the toy I hand painted it with Acrylic paints. Now I just hope that the baby is a girl!

If not, it becomes a present for my wife.

This is a project I have been working on with Piablo for about a year. I first heard his music from a instrumental CD he gave my wife. I really respected the sound he was creating. I was so inspired by his music that I emailed him and asked if I could add vocals. He seemed excited about the idea.

For me, this was a genre that I haven’t experimented with. It was a new challenge. So that’s how we started. Since then we have been emailing the songs back and forth to come up with this final E_P.
